Gagliardi, the owner-operator of three shops in Galena - LuLu's of Galenda, Galena Artisan Center and Galena Candle and Bath,
has been sewing since she can remember. She comes from a family of seamstresses
and attributes her talent and inspiration to her grandmother. Her grandmother
worked for many years as a seamstress in New York and, during her career,
did the beading on Mamie Eisenhower's inaugural gown! Luanne enjoys the creative process of joining fabric with
design and hears back from her customers that her bags have brought many
years of use and enjoyment.
